February 21st, 2006 12:00am | Oak Telecom,

This year Oak is thrilled to celebrate their twentieth anniversary. The years have flown by! It has not always been easy, but in the year 2005, we enjoy very high market share in Call Logging, Voice Processing, Call Recording, CTI and Billing Systems with the assistance of our resellers. In the UK alone Oak have sold 15,000 software licences to date.

There are four key aspects that have continued from day one at Oak. These are an understanding of the industry, continued development of products and product range, a focus on the reseller channel and the provision of user-friendly flexible software packages.

Oak began with the liberalisation of the telecoms industry by the government following the privatisation of British Telecom. From the development of the first call logging system Oak benefited from understanding the requirements of end-user businesses.

Oak continuously develops products that stay ahead of the competition. In all sectors Oak are continuing to enhance software facilities including the use of the web for fast communication, technical support and online software updates. Oak software development benefits from technological advances within the industry with structured development phases for all software. Feedback from end users and resellers for development initiatives are included where appropriate in new releases of software.

As a leading manufacturer with a strong reseller channel Oak benefits from immense expertise within the channel and strong relationships through to the end user. Oak not only values the relationship with each reseller, but also the relationships that they build through the sales process with clients. We ensure that where ever and whenever required Oak resellers have the full support of the sales team, engineers and support team based in the Poole head office.

The future of telecoms is certainly becoming more and more data led, with huge possibilities for more sophisticated communications services. Oak’s ongoing development and flexibility within each software release will give advancements in integration and software capabilities, making the use of communications software even more essential for all types and sizes of organisations in the future.
